How many times have you began a exercise or diet program only to see

I have just been in the public eye for four events with a good number of people walking by the gym or my information table. Do you see yourself in the procrastinators below? It’s easy to cry could of, would of, should of…...until it’s too late. There will always be the next fad the next miracle pill, but good tried and true information and quality fitness programs are few and far between. As the gap widens between those who have a prayer of “getting it” and those who never will widens, it is up to you the public to smarten up and quit the bull. We are responsible for our own well being. It is up to you if you are able to enjoy life or be a slave to poor health.

 

Best Excuses

“I wanted to do it but you’ve been too far away up in Crown Point

and now that you’re in Ti I don’t want to do it” from several people who had asked us to come to Ti and then they would join, if only..

I didn’t know you offered___________ (fill in the blank with one of our many offerings yoga, pilates, boot camp, kids fitness, sports specific training, senior citizen fitness, spinning, group exercise, bodybuilding, independent exercise as well as guided and so on and so on.

from almost everyone we bump into …..

“I’m so glad you’re offering pilates, but I just can’t drive to Ti for it, why isn’t it in Crown Point? from someone who wasn’t able to keep a routine or hold a membership for more than a month over the past 15 years in our Crown Point location

“I’m on limited income” - from a woman with a pack of cigarettes in her shirt

“You’re too expensive”from someone who doesn’t know our rates, or drove 25 miles to exercise elsewhere, or paid $1000 to a fad diet, nutri-system, etc.

“I know someone who is teaching a class in her home, we have to keep it quiet because she’s not a real business and doesn’t have a Business Certificate or a Tax number to do this. We pay her but since it’s just in her home she doesn’t pay taxes on this.”Wrong.. She’s breaking the law as well as undermining the credibility of fitness professionals everywhere. The public suffers from her lack of knowledge

“Miss Thing teaches Pilates, she’s told us she’s certified and has held classes at the college and the hospital, doesn’t that mean she has the qualifications?” Wrong. Can she produce her certification document? This individual has made false claims for the past 10 years and when finally confronted claims to be “working toward” her certification that will be forthcoming. Well if you want to believe someone who has lied all of this time I guess that’s your dollar, But why would you lend a fraud credibility?

 

“I’ve always wanted to join your program but I’m trying this pill instead. What can I say? Read more in my newsletters about failed diets.

“I wanted to join for years but now it’s too late I’m ______________ (fill in the blank diabetic, have heart problems, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, knee, back, shoulder issues, whatever else you can come up with) Uh… sounds like a good excuse but what did you Doctor just suggest. We have working relationships with several area Doctors, Sports Medicine Doctors, Physical Therapists, & Chiropractors. Ask your healthcare provider what Achieve Fitness and our guided program can do for you.

I only want to exercise, I don't want any guidance, I KNOW my body and I know what I need,  
These are famous last words, problem is you don't know your own body. It's our job to help you see results, in fact you expect that of us, but don't want any advice or help unless it's part of what you believe works, so you tie our hands and then want us to show you more and more exercises but refuse to exercise wisely so you can see the results..... what a delima........

 "Oh, I'm sooooo glad you open a gym in Ti however I just don't want to climb 2 flights of stairs to exercise" and "I absoultly refuse to drive ALL THE WAY to Crown Point.....the gas money......"  with) Stop with the excuses already. You're not disabled, you're not a senior citizen, but stairs are too much.!!!!! I suppose it's whatever you want to tell yourself, but come on. let me get this straight... you really, really want to exercise but won't climb stairs to get to the gym and when your other option is 15 minutes away and that is too far......

I must say my best advice to you is to just dig a hole and crawl in it, you might as well give up now, if you refuse to climb stairs. Please don't waste my time with foolish fake excuses.
